DESCRIPTION:The St Augustine’s Singers\, conducted by Paul Jackson\, present a performance of David Lang’s Pulitzer Prize-winning choral work\, the little match girl passion. Based on Hans Christian Anderson’s The Little Match Girl\, Lang’s work was described in 2019 by The Guardian critic Andrew Clements as ‘one of the most original vocal works of recent times.’ \n\n\n\nAlso included in the concert is the first performance of Andrew Hugill’s Solemn Melos\, settings of three poems by Anthony Ehtherin.
